Application Sharing

3.1 Exercise: Application Sharing 1: Using the Whiteboard

  1. Launch the Sun Wonderland node from the Education Grid...

  2. After you log in and land in Wonderland you should find yourself in MPK20 Demo Room. Use the placemarks menu to "teleport" to the MPK20 Conference room:

    MENU: Placemarks > MPK20 Conference Room

  3. Once in the Conference Room, locate the MPK20 Conference Room Whiteboard.

    Notice the red border around the board. The red border indicates that the whiteboard is a sharable application user~interface.

    1. To get control of the application and start using it: Shift + Left-Click the application border. (You should see the border turn green when you get control...

    2. To release control, either;

      1. hit Shift + F12, or
      2. MENU: Shared Apps > Release All App Control

Try it now. Take control of the White board and write a message for the world to see...
